Larry was very itchy around his neck the ENTIRE time he was on RImadyl. Nothing horrible, like he scratched him self sore, but very frequent neck itching. He's been off it now since last Tuesday and back to normal. The help the Rimadyl gave outweighed the itching but if it had been more serve we would have to have stopped it.

I am so very you and your family lost your special girl
:(
she was much too young.

I was going to suggest this as I have used it and it works great on foot injuries. In your case, you might want to use two or three and make it like a large boot, one for the bottom with the two more so it goes high enough to cover all of the bandage. You will have to tape them together with something like duct tape. If you get creative enough, you can make a tie that comes up over his head and then you can tie it in place.
vote #3 for this. Best thing ever for keeping stuff dry on the feet/legs. VERY durable. The Press n Wrap is a great idea, I will keep that in mind when I can't get the IV bag

Our Larry's been a champ about getting in the car since we got him in 2011, however if his corns are really bad (or he doesn't have his TheraPaw on) he will hesitate and occasionally not jump at all into the car.
perhaps something similar is going on?

I realized yesterday that euthanasia is taking our companion's pain from them and giving it to ourselves. That must be the truest meaning of love.
I am so very, very sorry for your loss
:(
this is probably the most true and best explanation for letting our loved babies go. Thank you for this

yes, we've had to pay for it but only $25 (and I think only once or twice). $140 is just ridiculous.

I'm certainly no expert, but Larry has corns and I have to say that doesn't really look like a corn per se to me? I don't know if inflamed toes are common with corns but I know Larry's are not. And the area you photographed looks different than what a corn looks like, it's more extended and well, rougher looking for lack of a good word. For corns, they limp on any hard surface (with rougher ones like gravel worse) but still limp on hard areas, the only relief Larry gets is on soft surfaces like grass or carpet.
hoping you can find out. I swear by TheraPaws. BEST $28 I've ever spent in my life. Larry could not go out of the house without them....

the circling ("nesting") is 100% normal and in fact very usual for greyhounds
Larry will nest like a mad man until he gets his bed into a "clam" and then lie down, usually with at least his head or butt (or both) hanging off.
It doesn't matter how poofy or lofty or huge the bed is, he has to nest it into the ground
oh, and Larry is leash-reactive to other dogs as well, has been since he saw his bridge brother Anubis do the same thing when we first got him, he learned (unfortunately) from that. Thankfully Zeke has no interest in continuing this behavior.....
