I used to go to a great vet that was located at the corner of Ellis and Brookhurst... I think it was called Ellis Animal Hospital or something like that. The vet owned greys and did tons of work for Tom & Joyce, back when they lived in HB. Sorry don't have his name or # anymore... This vet has a brother with a clinic in Stanton. However, I'd go to the brother that was in Fountain Valley.

Oh Wen... I know Snow leaves a HUGE hole in your heart and your home will not have the same pep and laughter as before. You gave your precious boy that final loving gift of freedom from pain, and I know he's smiling down at you now from the Bridge, in fine form with all of our beloved hounds. I feel your heartache, having been down this miserable path far too many times. Cherish your time with Scooter, be strong in front of him and cry privately. He only knows today... so make his time love-filled and happy as long as possible. As Diane mentioned, good pain control is critical. He'll tell you when it's time. Buster sounds like he's doing great and is not on "borrowed time" by any means! When I adopted Phoenix at 12 1/2, I just didn't know how much more time I'd have with her. Well, she's now at 15 yrs. 9 months and still going strong. Am planning to take her to Kanab in May if she's still feeling as good as today. Will starting planning her sweet 16 party soon...

Explore your options, make sure you've got good pain meds for your boy, and make your decision about his care sooner than later. My heart goes out to you.
