    Miles...

My deepest condolences to you and your DH for your loss. I know you all knocked yourselves out trying to diagnose and treat what ailed your sweet boy for so long. He'll live on in your hearts forever. Godspeed, sweet Miles... go and join the angels.
  5. I'm very sorry for your loss. Kenny was lucky to share your heart and home for these last two years and probably taught you much about living with joy. Godspeed, sweet boy...

  7. I'm so very sorry, Bonnie. All three of my greys that had osteo developed edema in the affected limb overnight (almost 6 weeks to the day of the first limp) and it was most definitely the osteo. It was the final sign to let them go.
  8. Couldn't agree more... Hoping you have MUCH more quality time with your precious senior.
  9. What a gorgeous pair of houndies! Sounds like Olive is settling in beautifully.

  13. No cancer is excellent news! Keeping your precious Cofax in my prayers, surrounded by loving light.
  14. OMG. Your poor girlie... Holding her in my prayers, surrounded by light for healing. Hopefully this is just a freaky break and nothing more.
  15. Depending upon how active or sedentary she's been since retirement from racing, she may have lost a lot of muscle, so can look too thin when she's thinner. She's probably be just fine at 68 to 70#, especially if you can see the last 2 or 3 ribs. Although I don't consider 8 yrs. old to be particularly OLD, in my experience, seniors can lose weight quickly... sometimes frightfully so. You might want to try her out on supplements like glucosamine that help with joint stiffness.
  16. Keeping Miss Nelly in my thoughts and prayers.
  17. I'm so very sorry. It's a difficult path to travel. Explore your options and make as many new memories with your dear boy as possible. Sending lots of prayers and light...
  18. Ay yi yi! Sending lots of prayers for Loca's full recovery.
  19. Holding your sweet Colfax in my prayers for an enlighting surgery and uneventful recovery of full health.
