  1. WOW! The least I woudl do is closely monitor for the night and get to the Vet first thing in the AM. As an FYI, arnica gel is great for bruising, after you now what the issue is. Arnica is available at a drugstore or health food store. Good luck.
  2. Wish I could be there for you and Lucky, Call if you need to, Love ya...
  3. Dylan did not have to be drugged or asleep for his U/S. He did awesome. Also, the U/S should be a full ABD. not just a UT view. I watched Dylan's and it was pretty cool. But than again, I have watched my own U/S's so many times that I gave my "girly" cysts names. :rofl
  4. 70 freeking degrees??? In the house??? To heck with the dog, I need long johns!! :lol I would suggest lightweight jams or moving to a warmer climate. The jams might to easier.
  5. Maybe a good quality SamE? I guess you would have factor the cost of both milk thistle and SamE for 30 days and compare it to something like Denamarin or another canine liver support supplement.
  6. Denamarin needs to be in the intestine to provide the most good, hence the fast. Disco's ER Vet was adamant about the 2 hour rule. We are allowed to give the tab with a pill pocket. For Disco, I simply set my alarm at the appointed time, gave him the Denamarin and went back to bed. Although, I work nights and we just don't feed him or give any treats after 3 a.m.. But we went though over two months of a plethora of daily meds. at timed intervals, resulting in many alarms and lack of sleep. I am not trying to argue with tbhounds. I am simply parroting the information our ER Vet gave us.
  7. Denamarin is awesome stuff!! Needs to be given on an empty tummy, about 2 hours after a meal and 2 hours before a meal.
  8. I am so very sorry for the loss of your Val. :brouphug
  9. I don't know about yelping, but I have definitely emitted an audible sigh of relief after pooping. TMI???
  10. Worm him, several times, regardless of what the poop check shows. Worm him!! Also, pick a kibble and stay with it. A few days is not going to tell you much. Need to give it a few weeks to see results. I would also consider adding acidophiles tabs. to his food. This is what would happen in my house. Good luck.
  11. Drontal Plus from AU. is what I used. Dose on Monday and Thursday, Tuesday and Friday, Wednesday and Sunday. And on the next Tuesday ,he got his heartguard pill. And the following Monday he got another does of Drontal Plus. No problems since.
  12. Yup. I wormed the literal crap out of Danger until I got the hooks under control.
  13. Yes, in most cases, the nail will grow back.
  14. Our first greyhound, Dancer, did this often enough to earn the nickname "The Puke Hound." We elevated the water bowl. That solved 95% of her puking. However, Dancer was still affectionately called "Puke Hound" for the remainder of her life.
  15. Yup, this is what I would do. When in doubt, error on the side of caution.
  16. Look for Purina Vet Formula. I am sure there is an equivalent to Hills I/D. You don't need a 'script, just need to find a Vet that sells the Purina. I currently have a dog in Hills L/D and I am hoping to be able to get him off of it by the end of the year.
