Pressed rolled rawhide sticks from Fritofeet here. We don't have digestion problems from it here, and I don't do anything extra before giving T one and he's the one that can't digest stuff. Keeps them occupied and works on their teeth. The mess of marrow bones in the house kind of sucks, so I tend to do more rawhides here.

Our old vet has had greyhounds die from ONE aspirin. Too many for him to be comfortable with, so he says no to ANY aspirin.

All depends on the dog. I don't make the dogs barf up chocolate. Ryan has eaten a pound of chocoalte before with no ill effects, half of it dark. The amt of chocoalte that he could figure out how to get to if he really really really tried, aren't enough to have me induce vomiting, unless somebody is showing distress from it. Bakers chocoalte is kept safely away and unless he wants to figure out the pantry and make it to the top shelf, he's not ever finding that.

My old vet, that we liked, that has worked with plenty of track greyhounds, was of the NO Aspirin group as well. He had seen too many bad things happen to greyhounds that have been given aspirin.

I don't know when the last time was that I was able to put my shoes on without 12 dog feet around me with 8 of them bouncing around like crazy. I now sneak my shoes to someplace nobody can see me and they still figure it out and come running - or I put them on while they are outside. Jet knows "sorry, you aren't coming this time" and then she heads back where she came from.

This is on my mom's dog. They noticed it around Christmas. It has gotten bigger since then. Vet just went with "remove it, then figure it out" No suggestion to figure out what it was first.

I try to not leave anything on the counter. That doesn't always work. I try to remember to close the gate to the kitchen behind me. I don't always remember to do that, especially if I'm IN the house. I was on the couch yesterday in the living room doing some research online. I hear crunching and look up to see Ryan is NOT in the living room. Jump up and he's standing under the dining table eating a dog bone. The dog bones were in a box, with a closed top between the microwave and refrigerator. He got to the box He tipped the box over He got a cookie out All done silently. The crunching gave him away T is also a counter surfer. Ryan and T share their loot with each other and I'm sure they sometimes even help each other commit the food counter surfing crimes. T surfs non food items off the counter too

Since ryan was put on meds for his seizures, he goes out around 3am. Yeah, I pee when I let him out when the dog door is closed off (poop eating dog!), but I still hate getting up to let him out. But I do it when I know he really has to go. He wakes me up by staring at me. Unless I don't wake up quick enough with the staring and then he will whine or a little bark to let me know he's been standing by the end of the bed forever an a day looking at me trying to pass me the message. If I tell him to go back to bed and he does, he' just wants to go out and walk around for a bit because he woke up and was bored. If he doesn't go back to bed... he really does have to go out to pee/poop. With our 23 days on the road on the way here, very rarely did I have to get up in the middle of the night to take him out. So I know he CAN make it through the night, but for some reason... not always.
