  1. I am so sorry. A special mama angel must have been needed.
  2. I would take her in tomorrow, and not give any more pain meds until the vet sees her.
  3. You could try giving her Pepcid about 30 minutes before you offer her food. I would try the Pepcid three times a day for a while and see if it helps. Some foods to try; Baked chicken, remove skin and fat and just shred with your fingers. Boiled ground round, drain liquid. Very tender roast beef. Vanilla yogurt and Rice Krispies. Meat loaf (no onions) meat, eggs, oatmeal, a little tomato sauce, bake. Cook macaroni from Kraft mac & cheese, drain then mix the powdered cheese, no butter.
  4. I am so sorry. Godspeed Harley, run with the angels.
  5. The shot doesn't have anything to do with worms, it was a vaccination type shot. The Panacur is all that was given for the worms. Click on this link for explanation of what shots were given. shot explanation link It would be a good idea when you take Shelby to the vet for you to be sure they explain to you what they did, and why or what it's for. Edit to ask....is Shelby a puppy?
  6. I am so sorry. Sending prayers for Beecher.
  7. My understanding is once they have completed their puppy series they should have the one year "booster" shots then go to three year. Anyone can feel free to correct me if I am wrong. We do not do Lyme down here, however we all need to be very aware of the many symptoms of tick diseases.
  8. So glad Monte is home and doing so well.
  9. Adopting seniors is a good point. By the time they are 10 or 11 they are probably fairly healthy dogs to have lived that long, but as with people, the longer we live, the more likely we are to die of cancer or some other disease instead of just "old age".
  10. I have never bought Nylabones, a greyhounds jaws are just too strong to give them a plastic bone. They get their chewing enjoyment from things like turkey necks, beef ribs, etc. They are always supervised with any bone.
  11. Our big guy Teddy's numbers have actually improved in the 18 months or so that we have been raw.
