  1. Patti I think I've said it all to you. You know how much we care. Tonight when I got home from work I put my pups outside. Miz Foxy raced her brother to the fence, pounded him once , then bopped little Peanut. She spun around and raced back to the door, a look of joy on her face. As she ran accross the deck toward me I thought how much she looked like Lacers. Then I went to my computer to find out that our Lacers was gone. I have to wonder if she paid me a visit today, Foxy is rarely able to run like that. You showed incredible courage and fought the monster twice. I will miss you Lacers, go with God.
  2. Oh Patti I was so worried that you would be facing this now. This hurts my heart. Godspeed Free Ride Alice - you will be missed be so many.
  3. Sending lots of prayers and healing thoughts for Christoffe. I'm so glad you were able to talk to Dr Marin, Lilly is wonderful. Praying your boy will be with you a long time.

  5. I'll be calling Patti later this afternoon. I will let her know how many people send prayers and their best wishes to her, Fred and Lacers.
  6. I just received this email from Patti Hi Janet,I only have a second~I have to get Fred readdy for bed and do all of his meds. I just wanted you to know that LaceyLaine is in ICU. All of her liver values are way up over 1400. She started vomiting. Is it the pred? Is it pancreatitis? Is it lymphoma? We don't know. They are hydrating her and running tests. Her eyes remain bright and she so far has not given up the fight. My heart is shattered. Lacey Laine honey, we are praying and thinking positive thoughts for you little girl. Keep fighting. Sunday Dec 2 Just got off the phone with Patti. She is so scared, Lacey's liver enzymes are sky high. Her temp is down today, but she is still refusing to eat. She weighs 48 lb Patti said she talked to her all the way to the hospital, she talked about the bridge and that Lacey could go if she wanted. Miss Lacer's is bright eyed and very aware of what is going on. The vet said she isn't sleeping over much and watches everything that is going on. I believe that Lacer's is telling us she isn't ready yet. Fred has an MRI on Tuesday so please hold him in prayer. Patti thanks everyone for their prayers and good thoughts, she appreciates it more than you can know. Wednesday, December 5, 2007 It is with a hurting heart that I post Lacey Laine, Lacers, Free Ride Alice has crossed the bridge. Her sisters Sophia and Queenie will enjoy her company. I know that Patti and Fred have deeply appreciated your concern, prayers and support.

  13. I would contact OSU on this as it is not a common one. Well, I'd contact OSU on any cancer. greyosu@osu.edu
  14. Poor girl definitely not a way to spend the holiday. I second the arnica tablet. I actually use Traumeel it has arnica in it and a whole bunch of other good stuff. Just google it for info. I keep it on hand for any injuries and surgeries. For me and the pups.
  15. Easy fix, Gizzy! Shall I send mommy another furrballz for your brother (maybe a brown doggie, or a yellow fishie) so he'll leave yours alone? Or will mommy kill me if I do that? I love the fish. I couldn't get one that worked and didn't know about the batteries until ours needed washing. You can't get them here in Canada. Our purple Cat sings What's New Pussycat! My friend Laura and I stopped on our long drive from Canada to Sandy Paws and saw them. We had a whole load of them bouncing on the floor in WalMart. Picture 2 grown women almost on the floor laughing as one of these things bounces under a shelf and back out all the while singing and giggling. Made the first day of our trip I tell ya. Thanks for brining back such a good memory.
  16. Rosies are red, violets are blue, Your secret santa has sent something for you. It may be big, it may be small, Fe sure the path is clear so Santa doesn't fall.
  17. Hello gorgeous! I love brindle and whites.
  18. Nice stuff. I hope Gizzy likes her cat ball as much as Peanut does. It has a replaceable battery. I bought 'Nut's on the way to Sandy Paws.
  19. Jake has blackheads off and on. He's lived here for 5 years and has a new crop right now. I know he doesn't lay on newspaper here and I know he didn't at the track or the adoption kennel he came from. They both use carpet as do many track kennels. Like people, some dogs are more prone to blackheads The suggestions for removal are exactly what I do.
  20. This was much, much too soon. The only comfort I find in this is that Argus is pain free. I am praying he guides you and Raven as you find her a new companion. Godspeed Argus, you will be missed.

  24. That's incredible news. I'm so happy. Glad that Lilly got you your Survivor Ring. I only have a few more left here and I don't know if I can get more. Pray I can, because Hope for Hounds will send one to any greyhound that is surviving cancer. I think it's an important step in their recovery especially for their family. You aren't alone! I do have about 10 more, so if anyone reading this knows of a greyhound that is surviving cancer, send me a PM.
