  1. Thank you for writing about her. What a wonderful girl
  2. I'll research remeron later. My internet was out much of the night Tootsie definetely needs prayers. She is set back two days by going to the vet. I, of course, wonder if what I did in taking her was right :( She got fluids and the antihistamine and dex. On oral pred today. She did eat some meatballs (Mighty Dog--yuk but she ate) last night. This morning only cream cheese with her pills in them. I'll pick up EVO canned today and maybe some kibble. She licked the kibble last night. I am so sad. This sweet girl had a rough life and was just starting to enjoy life.
  3. Nasty! Hopefully she is at the vet by now and getting her drugs
  4. There should be no blood when hulled properly. Laser is the best way to go! Wish I had someone here....
  5. Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers. I forgot to mention, my vet said "I'm not ready to give up yet"! I was shocked! I said, no, she's fine..... Hopefully the pred will start her eating....
  6. Because that is when your natural pred kicks in--right around then. One reason I don't like a split dose and many doctors don't either is that morning is more "normal"
  7. Vet believes it is vestibular. He checked all the side effects and consulted with another vet and no where does it say this is a side effect. I told him I believe she was predisposed and the nasty shot kicked her into it. Vestibular Disease
  8. Tootsie is at the vet getting fluids. I do know from talking with the vet tech, he thinks it is vestibular and unrelated to the injections. I think it is vestibular and caused by the Imizol (or the combination of injections). He and I will talk in a few hours.
  9. Sending my sympathy What a beautiful girl
  10. what about a t shirt to keep her from licking? Sounds like she is doing well.

What a beautiful angel! Sending my sympathy
  12. Of all the NSAIDs, deramaxx is the worst on the stomach. Please keep an eye on her. I hope you are giving her pepcid, carafate or some other stomach help.
  13. She is looking good! Email Dr. Couto and ask his opinion. btw -- most likely your vets know who he is
  14. I see mention of bugs, etc. I have not received any emails acknowledging my entries. Is this what is being worked on? I just checked and my entries must be there because I have numbers waiting for matches
  15. Keep praying I didn't leave the family room as Dr said to keep her as quiet as possible and I didn't want her to try and follow me. Up until 4:30 this morning I was sure she was going to the vet. Between 4:30 and now, she has improved some. She just went out and took a poop (where that came from I don't know since she has not eaten in two days) and walked back in. She has drunk water, so now I am torn about taking her in. I'll call the vet in a few minutes. She has been going out and peeing without help even though she walks like a drunken sailor. Her eyes are still bright and she is plain confused about walking--why she is drunk.
  16. Definetely a drug reaction. I believe it is to the injection he gave her for diarreha -- Tylosin (Tylan®) If she is not better by morning, I have to drop her at the vet for fluids. She did adjust her but she was not too bad. She asked me if they or I had given her flagyl as this is the type of reaction seen at times. She did not have that so either it is just the tylosin or the combination of drugs yesterday. So, long story short, she needs prayers.
  17. DES can lower platelets and you must do blood work to check.
  18. When was her last urinalysis? Culture? Chiropractic will help incontinence, as will acupuncture and there are chinese herbs to help also.
