  1. In any disaster like this, I feel for the lost pets, livestock, and wildlife, as well as the people. So very sad as for the people who deliberately set fires, I only hope they are caught in the fires they set

  5. I am sorry Spencer had a bad time of it today (and poor you!). I'm not sure how long you have been doing acupuncture, but it took a good 2-3 months before Sugar showed long term improvement. I also asked my vet to give her an Adequan shot. The first time, it was like a miracle! She ran (a little), she went for (short) walks! It started to wear off after about a month, and the second shot wasn't as helpful (it *did* help some), but by that time the acupuncture was really helping. You might ask your vet about Adequan.
  6. I am so sorry this is taking so long! The crock pot is a good idea. You could get a more complete diet into him without adding any new ingredients, and it should cut down on your kitchen time. Not that you need to be worrying about complete nutrition at this point, it's more important that he eat!
  7. I am so sorry to see this, she was such a fighter
  8. I am so sorry the news wasn't better! I hope they can come up with a new protocol for her.

I am so sorry, she left a wonderful legacy
  14. sounds like he's on the right track (so to speak). The chiro/acupuncture will really help his spinal issues!
  15. Sugar had that staining the last couple of years of her life. I really think it's an old dog thing. I just used warm water on a wash cloth and rubbed gently until she started to get restless. Honestly, I never got it all off, but I didn't worry too much about it. I also used the baby wipes sometimes, but she seemed to object less to the plain warm wash cloth.
  16. It's a little tricksy at first, but if I could do my cat for three and a half years, you can do Gidge!
