Sugar ate dirt, also pine cones and pecan shells I don't even have pecan trees, I have no idea where they came from. Fletcher has never eaten dirt (about the only odd thing he doesn't eat) and so far Molly doesn't either. Why they do it

Fletcher showed none of the traditional symptoms, and had in fact been tested several years ago. He had an off again/on again limp. X-rays were clear, VF negative, but my vet said his thyroid was lower than it had been, and thyroid problems can cause neurological problems, so we started him on the meds. It seems to have helped. All that said, if he has no other issues than a bald butt, I probably wouldn't bother.

I hope the antibiotics can clear up the infection! I understand you position, I had an old girl with a bad heart who could not be put under.

I hope Billy continues to improve. When he starts his new meds, I think you will see a big difference

Well, it is certainly not a good diagnosis, but I think, it is always better to know what you are dealing with. It sucks that he will never be completely well, but hopefully you can find a way to manage this like you have with his IBD, and he will have a nice long good quality life!

I am so sorry please don't second guess your decision. Sugar did not go easily either, and it was hard, but I knew it was what had to be done. You did what was best for Romeo.
