    Bello Stoops

Angela I am so sorry about Stoops. I am just seeing this now.
  2. Gillian and Chris, I am so sorry for your loss. Marilyn and I couldn't believe how young Catwalk when we looked her up on Sunday. She touched many lives, her memory will live on in so many hearts.
  3. I was asked if I wanted to have a sedative administered first. Finn was so relaxed at the vet that I opted for no sedative. He passed very quickly and peacefully. I'm so sorry you had such a horrible experience.
  4. I knew with that race name she had to be an O'Donnell dog Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!

    Peek-a-boo

I am so sorry Richard and Elise.
  6. Butch was a very sweet boy. I am glad I got the chance to meet him.
  7. Those "thick calouses" on his pads could be corns too and another reason for his gimpiness. Hope he feels better soon. I second the epsom salts soaking.... good for sores and softening calouses/corns.
  8. I had littermates to compare and here is what I had... Male at 3 years retired due to soft tissue injury (front wrist) about 70 races under his belt. Finn had confirmed arthritis at 3.5 years and significant joint issues his entire life. I just lost him at almost 9 due to a bone cyst. Female retired 2 months before her 5th birthday over 200 races in her career. Wink has had NO issues with any joint/bone areas. I think it is the luck of the draw and you can't predict anything due to the number/length of racing career.

    Allie Girl

Sweet Allie Thank you so much Carol for loving her. She was a very special dog that touched my heart.
  11. That is too bad about Turbo and his lameness. I lived through so many episodes with Finn. He only got to run the Fun Run the first year of the Expo. It always broke my heart to have to leave him home. I hope he makes a quick recovery. ps: after soaking in epsom salts I would apply bag balm or some form of pad cream and see if that would soften up the pad any more.
  12. I know there is the hugest super Walmart in Anchorage. They let RV's camp out there overnight. My guess is 142
  13. I am so sorry Audry. I know how special Darius was to you. May has been a sad month
  14. Poor Mama... Heal quickly. Do you have any liniment handy Deb? Maybe a gentle rub down and getting some heat into her muscles will help her.
  15. I'm so sorry Steve. May 16th was a rough day in the GT community. Your Nikki was so beautiful.
  16. Thanks everyone for the kind thoughts. I'm finding the little things hard .... no drippy nose at my side waiting for my cereal left overs, no one hopping at the bottom of the stairs as I come down in the morning and no big lugs head in my lap watching TV at night. I miss those big, loud, puffed out cheeky sighs. The girls seem totally fine... women are the stronger sex , but they do have each other so I guess that makes it easier for them.

I'm sorry Carla. I hope Barney is OK without his buddy.
  18. Finn's bone cyst, which had been dormant for over a year, had a terrible flare up yesterday and I had to do the right thing by him. Finn brought me into a whole new world filled with new and lasting friendships, travel and so much love. Thank you big sweet boy you will be sorely missed.
  19. Welcome back Shirl. Jazz is adorable
  20. Hi and welcome from the North Shore
  21. I guess that is what you get for leaving him! That Mork is such a character.
  22. I'm so sorry to hear your sad news. Cricket was such a sweet dog.
  23. I hope Bull is only suffering from a bout of arthritis. He is such a good boy and I know you are taking good care of him. The rib thing is probably something very normal Birdie's ribs are bumpy on the ends of the outer ribs.
