  1. A beautiful tribute So sorry you had to say goodbye. Godspeed Raven.
  2. I am so very sorry. A beautiful Angel star in the sky for sure. Godspeed Pretty Angel
  3. I always do rawhides with everyone in a separate room or in a crate, I use baby gates to keep them confined to a room, I don't close the door. Rawhide is a high value treat, I have had a fight before over them, since then, it's everyone in their own corner so to speak.
  4. She's darling!! Love the white on her nose!
  5. A friends greyhound had some of these same symptoms, after much testing, it was determined she has Cushings.
  6. My deepest condolences, you are such angels to give that boy the best 66 days ever. Godspeed handsome boy
  7. She is beautiful! And so pretty in pink Welcome Sweetie, you have hit the jackpot
  8. I have hardly ever needed antibiotics for routine cuts and scrapes. As long as you clean it well, it probably won't need any antibiotics. My favorite way to clean cuts is with a spray saline solution that I get at Walgreens, it's stocked in the first aid section. Most of my hounds have always licked fresh owies to some degree. Good Luck!
  9. A truly heartfelt and beautiful tribute............your love for each other just jumped off the screen...... Godspeed Sam
  10. I am so sorry Pam..........while the time is never long enough, I am sure you both made the best of the time you had. .... courtesy of Garth Brooks: And now, I'm glad I didn't know the way it all would end, the way it all would go. Our lives are better left to chance; I could have missed the pain, but I'd have had to miss the dance. Hugs to you both and Godspeed Buddy
  11. I use an old prescription bottle for the sample (washed first of course). To catch the urine, I use a ladle, I bought one at the dollar store and it is only used for urine catches you can also use an aluminum pie plate and just slide it under her when she squats. Good Luck!
  12. What a beautiful tribute to a beautiful girl. Please pass the tissues........
  13. Jan, I am so sorry, my heart aches for you. Godspeed to TPGIT
  14. I have had success with the carpet cleaner Spot Shot. Good Luck!
  15. My brood mom Raina, who came to me at 8.5, and is now 12.5, has a dropped middle toe on her right front foot, for whatever reason, it is also missing the nail. It was totally healed when she came to me. She does limp occasionally, but it doesn't slow her down
  16. I have 3 girls, and they get along beautifully, but all very different personalities. One of my girls, Emmi, is a spook and loves being with the other more confident girls, my oldest girl is a brood mom, and while she is top dog, she is a very benevolent leader. Over the years, I have usually had a mix, so I was a little nervous when I added Asia as the 3rd female, but they all seem to really like each other. IMO, if your current girl is having issues being left alone, she may appreciate having a more confident housemate. Best of luck!
  17. I am so sorry, Shelby was a lovely girl and I am sure she is running like the wind at the bridge. Godspeed Pretty Girl
  18. Yeah!!! I was wondering if they had arrived (had to go back and calculate 19 sleeps... ), then I found this wonderful post hidden in Intros....silly me, should have looked here first Everyone looks so comfortable...........and Cinco and Aiden are very handsome guys! Congratulations to all of you, a wonderful way to celebrate Spring. Enjoy.....and I am looking forward to updates on their adventures.
  19. So glad Leah is feeling better!!! Somewhat off topic, but what did you use to make the collars with their names and phone numbers? It's a greyt idea, it looks like you can read those from quite a distance, which is wonderful. If I didn't know better, I would say they almost look like they are made from duct tape....you know you can do so many things with that these days....
  20. I sent you a pm......I have one you can borrow :-)
  21. I know it looks bad...my girl Emmi sliced her rear leg just below the hock and it was raw and split open, I didn't even know it happened until I saw it at bedtime, I flushed it, cleaned it and even by the next day, it started to dry up and heal, hers granulated and filled in. I bet it will look better in 24 hours. Due to the movement, the elbow will probably take some time, but it should be fine.
  22. I wouldn't wrap if it isn't bleeding, the wrap may cause him to "worry" over it. Until it scabs over good, just keep it clean.
  23. Poor baby Keep it clean and dry and it should heal up fine, watch for usual signs of infection; swelling, warmth, etc. He might be a little sore tomorrow just from the fall itself. I used to "scoop and run" for cuts and scrapes, but have learned some basic triage skills and it sounds like you knew exactly what to do.
