i just want to add that my dog who recxovered from the stroke stayed at the vet's office for several days before showing any signs of recovery.it took a while, but like i posted earlier, she recovered.

i had a dog who had a stroke at age 13. she made a near complete recovery. i agree with cathie about the use of acupuncture. it seemed to really help with her recovery. she lived a happy life until she passed away at age 16. good luck!
