You need to put your pictures into a site like Photobucket (that's what most folks here use) and then you paste the IMG code for the pictures from that site into your message. It's actually pretty easy to use when you give it a try.

Welcome to GT -- grew up in NY and lived in NJ for a while. Blu is just gorgeous, love his ears! And his very happy face even on his first day home.

I would really suggest fasting them for now -- that's the first thing my vet recommends. If their systems are that messed up they don't need to be eating. Last week Beth had diarrhea and I mixed chicken broth with her water and she drank that eagerly, so I wasn't worried about dehydration.

Having joined GT just last year, I didn't realize that all your time with her was within such a short span. I am so sorry; that's terribly painful. Polli was absolutely beautiful and I've always loved hearing about her.

Well, good news! I finally got the results back today from the full thyroid panel and Beth is not hypothyroid. T4 and FT3 were a little low but not extremely, FT4 was in the normal range, TSH low in the normal range, no significant antibody levels. There was an interpretation with it that said there was no reason to suspect hypothyroidism from those results for a greyhound. Not a surprise, as she really shows no signs, but a relief to know. . . . But darn that test was a lot of money to confirm she didn't have something we didn't think she had anyway!

Plenty of dogs don't do well on lamb, and if I remember right Nutro Ultra has a ton of different ingredients -- I could pretty much guarantee my girl would have loose stool on it! So it's very likely you haven't found the right food. It takes many of us many tries to find the one a dog does well on. I would personally suggest trying a fish-based kibble (Pro Plan Sensitive Skin and Stomach is one, Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream is a grain-free one that isn't too expensive) as that seems to work well for a good number of dogs (mine included), though again nothing works for everyone.
