  2. I am so sorry for your loss.
  3. Yay for Wilbur. Up and moving and using his dog door are great things. Keep getting better sweetie.
  4. I had a bad experience with the Pawz when I had them on Aquitaine for an extended period. Her feet/ankles swelled tremendously so I would not necessarily suggest long term wear with those. I learned about these simple, but effective boots from people from my group: http://dogbooties.com/dogbooties.html. I get the toughteck boots and they are great. Good for non-slip on the wood floors, good for keeping her from ripping through her bedding, good for walking in the snow. Cheap too!
  5. Sending lots of prayers, good thoughts and hugs to Karen and Penny.

  7. Adding my prayers and good thoughts.
  8. I was going to say the same thing; while the atrophy may be distressing, it's not necessarily due to some underlying pathology. Ditto. Sending lots of hugs.
  9. What a gorgeous face. Run free, sweet Annie.
  10. I agree, ask the vet for an honest, unfiltered prognosis. If you don't think your current vet can give you that, then a second opinion is a good idea. FWIW -- all of my girls have dripped when they were happy, not as a sign of pain or unhappiness so the dripping could be for that reason. His leg also must be at least somewhat atrophied, that will cause a muscle loss which will make him look thinner. Sending lots of hugs and good thoughts for you and your boy.

  15. I am so sorry for your loss.
  16. Miss Aquitaine is a wood lover. She loves the art deco buffet, the art deco cocktail cabinet, the art deco coffee table... she's also fond of plaster. She is now muzzled when I am not home. When she starts licking when I am home, she gets a firm "NO!" and looks at me like I'm crazy. Scarlett loved wood too but she never ate anything at home, she just ate the wood chips in the dog run or elm saplings. She truly did love her elm saplings. I think she ate enough to fill one of the little glens in Central Park.
