I am so sorry that there has been a change in Neyla's films. Please don't beat yourself up for going to Dewey. You made a wonderful memory. I have been following this journey and am absolutely awed by your courage, humor and openess to new methods of care for your girl. As to how you will get through this, you will, day by day. I never thought that I would get through losing Scarlett to this monster but you do because all that matters is getting them through it as well as you can. Miss Aquitaine had a good day yesterday. No anaesthesia breath (am I alone in being able to smell this?). No more wobbliness. Very happy to eat her soft food. Her poor nose/face is so swollen. She tolerated a softened ice pack for a while but not for long. I had to come to work today and I am hating every minute of being here!! Her walker promised to text me the minute she gets there, how the walk goes, and let me know how she is when she leaves. 5:00 pm can't come soon enough...

I am so very, very sorry for your loss. I know how hard it is to leave home in the morning with a silly, happy cold nosed dog, and to lose them without warning that same afternoon. I hope the necropsy will give you an answer that will help you to heal. Echo sounds like a very special boy who found just the right home for him when you found each other.

I am so sorry. Godspeed, Rock Star. I just had to add this, while I was walking Aquitaine a few minutes ago, a little boy and his mother walked by and the little boy said that she was a "Rock Star Dog". I don't know if you have friends in NYC or not but I took it as a good sign that Rock Star was being loved on right then.

I hope Frankie feels better soon.

My girl is scheduled for 9:00 am surgery tomorrow to do extractions of some nasty teeth. Her blood tests were all fine. Her urine tests were all fine. She is in great health. She has a board certified dental surgeon and he has assured me that the anaesthesiologist came from Ohio State's Vet program and has worked with Dr. Couto. I am still scared poopless. She is my heart. So, If I could ask for the power of GT to wish her well, it would be very much appreciated. ----------------------------------------- Update: 7:00 pm We are now home. Aquitaine is asleep in her Perla bed. She has 16 fewer teeth and I have $1,600 fewer dollars. MOST IMPORTANTLY, I have my girl home with me. When she came trotting down the hall to me I thought my heart would burst. Of course, she had a severe case of ETS and her poor little tounge was all dried out. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your good thoughts for my girl.
