  1. 5 years is still very young...I think, I would get another opinion from another vet...llet's hope it's not cancer. Vets can have errors too... Best luck for you both!
  2. Interesting links, Diane! I don't understand that Aspartame is in nearly ALL medications as sweetener over here.
  3. No...I get terrible nausea and tend to vomit and my stomach hurts for the rest of the day.
  4. I don't know about Greyhounds and Aspartame but I'm allergic to it and would get sick...
  5. Those videos brought tears to my eyes...it's so sad to see him like this...I hope so much that there's a real possibility of some kind of recovery...my very best wishes for you and sweet Alan!
  6. Just wondering...my friend just called me very worried because her Boxer had a strange thing happen. He suddenly started moving his head and it seemed that he couldn't control the movement. She said it looked exactly like those toy-dogs with a movable head that are often put in cars. It looked like Parkinson's disease but only for a few minutes..then the dog was back to his normal self. He's fine otherwise... Anybody had that happen or knows what it could be? The dog was alert all the time...no epileptic issue.
  7. Many good thoughts and my very best wishes for Della's quick recovery!!!
  8. I hope, Abby is O.K. and the biopsy hasn't hurt her...on the picture you posted it looks like if a tiny blood vessel has just broken...I had the same thing but it went away on its own...
  9. Many healing thoughts and best wishes coming Cassie's way from Spain...
  10. It breaks my heart to read this...it must be just horrifying for you to hear her scream of pain and not to be able to help her...I have no advice, I only wish that her pain will go away very soon...
  11. I'm so very sorry for your loss of sweet Skittle...

  15. Although my male 'Ivy' is only 10,5 years old he's starting to have those same difficulties. Sometimes he had fallen over when pooping but he picks himself back in a second when it happens. He has also slipped on the kitchen floor a few times but then he couldn't get up on his own and I put him back on his legs. Ivy is on COSEQUIN and daily Vitamin E. Otherwise he's very healthy, hungry all day and very active at times. I'm quite sure that he has a beginning of LS and it makes me suffer to see my boy getting old so soon... You see Barbara, you are not alone...hugs to your hounds!

  18. I have never, ever bathed my Greyhounds...no need....the only 'water contact' they have from time to time is or rain, or sea water at the beach or the garden tube in summer when it gets hot...they don't smell and have a shiny clean coat.
