Maddie was outside yesterday morning eating grass or as I call it "mowing the grass" for me. She had what I call gurgly tummy so I am wondering if she was eating the grass to settle her stomach. She seems to only eat grass when she has gurgly tummy which is when her tummy is making weird noises. I did not give her breakfast as she was not interested in her cookies which tells me she was not feeling well. But my chowhound is back and eating well today.

Could they be pimples?

I was going to say the same thing. Maddie licks her butt (gross I know) or scoots around when it is time for her anals to be expressed. Off to the vet we go as I will gladly pay for them to do that.

Lori and gang, I am so sorry. Bill will be missed by many, including Maddie & I.

Maddie diggs as well and it is annoying. When I am cutting the grass one of my feet will at least once go into her holes and you will hear me say out loud Dam it Maddie. Her landscaping company is going to be called Dam it Maddie Landscaping. When we go to the beach where she should be digging she does not.

Maddie's racing name was "Doobiesaurus" kennel name was Doby. She picked up on Maddie really fast. When she is "really" in trouble it is full name Madaket Doobiesaurus Houdini Martin. LOL She is a houdini

Maddie had SA when I first got her almost 7 years ago, after 2 months I learned it was because she hated her crate. She did go on clomicalm too as a last resort and we slowly weaned her off it, she has free rein of the first floor of my house when I am gone. I have the same problem if I am in the garage and she can't see me or if I take too long getting in from the car, she whines. that is the only time she does this. Can you tell us is this only happening when you are out mowing the lawn or does it other times when you are out of his vision ? You did not say if he is able to see you or not. Talk to your vet about putting him on the meds (I did it as a last resort) and I muzzled Maddie when I was at work for the first few weeks. I can totally understand what you are going through as I have been there myself. It is just Maddie and myself here. Hang in there.

Hope he gets better soon! and that the greyhound owner forwards the vet bill to the neighbor.

****UPDATE****** I got the following information off of Dtrs Foster & Smith's website. Novartis Animal Health has voluntarily suspended manufacture Interceptor® and Sentinel® while their facility undergoes "process and compliance improvement activities." Availability of these medications is expected to resume sometime in January 2013, according to an article in Veterinary Information Network news. This is all I know folks. My brother is on some project so he is not going to know much. Darn- I was hoping they were already in the process of producing.

Maddie was able to get her e-collar off when she hurt her paw and had to get stitches. I used her muzzle and put duct tape over it and then came home for lunch so would not have to go all day with it on.

Thanks everyone, I knew I could count on you. I did not think it going to be a problem but I am in panic mode as we on Nantucket Island and there is no evet just a local vet. I have told him over and over NOT to feed her anything unless I approve it. And he did not listen to me. I am furious with Dad right not. (and when I said pass to make her pass it, I mean for her to puke it up)

Hi All- I usually don't post here but I need some help. I am on vacation with my parents and my Dad fed Maddie a piece of his Nutri-System cake. The whole cake itself is 1.7 oz., the piece he gave her was about an inch long. My question is do I give her hydrogen peroxide to make her pass it? Any help I appreciate greatly. Amy

Great Susan- Not what I wanted to hear as we are headed up there next week. Good thing I got some Capstar as well as I just Frontline Plus Maddie yesterday. Our neightbor across the street (Joe Lopes who just passed away- your Mom may know of him) his dog Mojo always had fleas on him. I am going to miss them both this year.

Ducky, Glad I could enlighten you with Maddie's eating of my refund check from the hospital. It passed through her system yesterday morning and the only reason I know that isI saw green and white specks in her poop as I was picking it up. The color of the check. I am getting a replacement check in the mail. I am telling you It is NEVER DULL at my house with Maddie to entertain you. Whether she is eating checks, paper products, getting empty beer bottles off of counters, having a walkabout on Nantucket, barking at the moving sign over our heads at Petsmart during a M&G, chewing on a door at BBH07, eating her way out of not 1 but........3 crates and still having one of those wire crates being locked and her being out of it (I stil to this day have NO idea how she got out of it) to flipping my grilled chicken salad off the counter and eating ONLY the grill chicken and leaving the rest on the floor for me, you can KNOT get mad at her.

Maddie ate a 25.00 refund check that I got from the local Health Care provider on Friday. That was fun calling them today and stating my dog ate the check. Guy stated that he has heard that one before so it was not so funny to him. On friFay I found her having fun with the TP in the bathroom because I forgot to close t he door. It will pass, my check did.

I live with the QUEEN of barking. Maddie barks when it is feeding time, when she has to go out (which I don't mind when it is this) when I am on the phone, or when she is bored. It is never dull at my house with Maddie who just ate a 25.00 refund check. That was fun calling for a replacement
