  1. I am so sorry for your loss,
  2. This is EXACTLY the 'prescription' he got at $16 for 10 pills. Funny they don't tell you to just go to the grocery and get the stuff. What a rip! You got hosed! I can do way better than 10 generic for $16.00. I usually get them at Walmart but sometimes use CVS in a pinch. I live in a really small town, so if I don't grab them at Walmart in the city, I have to pay a little more I hope your pupper is feeling better. Tummy troubles are worrisome Adding: I can't find any good price comparisons. If it looks like you'll be using it often, I'd suggest picking some up at Walmart next time you are out
  3. Yeah, the regular is 10 mg. Have to watch out for the extra strenght though... it''s double. I don't even buy it just so it isn't a problem. I buy store brand as well to save some money.
  4. If it's perscription, what does the bottle say? With regular Pepcid, I give my 70+ pound boys one in the morning and one at supper if they are having problems. If they're not too bad and just need a little something, then just one dose. Adding: Pepcid is Famotidine and the generic will read Famotidine on the bottle/box.
  5. No suggestions, just support and good thoughts for Gidge
  6. Wonderful news, Heather! Hugs to you and Dempsy

I am so sorry for your loss,
  11. Pepcid screwed up the works when they made the Pepcid Complete. Before that itwas just a small tasty mint chewable with no calcium. My special grey vet gave us some for Vin. And they also had the nonchewable. Then they made Pepcid complete, jacked up the price, and made them big wnough to choke a horse. Then they quit making the small chewable So, we just use the non here
  12. What the Pepto and Kaopectate have in them is so scant that it won't hurt the dogs. I have not read good things about giving it to the cats though. Personally I use a Kao-Pec from the vet that is just kaolin and pectin without the other stuff. I also keep Pepto tabs handy because Red closes his throat for the Kao-Pec. I hope all is better tomorrow
  13. Very sweet I'm glad Angie came to see you. Visits are always the best and so reassuring for us, too
  14. Sweet Staney, I hope your butt gets better and you are allowed to eat real food very soon
  15. I am so sorry for your loss. Sending hugs,
  16. After xrays Vinnie had accupressure as this was closest to home. I saw some relief.
  17. Actually the mgr came out and told the receptionist to close out the acct with no charge so I'm pretty sure I won't get billed. And I'm on the far south side of Windermere- I've gotten some recs but I'm definitely willing to get more. Thanks so much Good for you! I'm glad the manager stepped in.
  18. Sending you hugs in heaven, dear boy. You now have your wings,
  19. I believe in gut feelings. I'm a little concerned that you didn't tell them what was wrong.... over $200 worth of work and the vet hadn't seen her yet. I'd be watching the mail for a bill. I hope they don't and it's over with them. I also hope you find a new vet... a good one soon
  20. I understand Thank you for answering my questions. Sorry I couldn't answer yours
  21. I am sorry for your loss,
  22. See, now THAT would have been helpful information from the beginning instead of lambasting my choice of breeder. Thank you for this information. ` My understanding about titres from my vets is that even though the titres come back with levels, there is no way to know what titre level is effective for each dog. Because of that reason, I did not even ask them how much. (price question: dunno) Now me: My daughter just got a puppy from her friend... a rehome. They said he was up on all shots. When we got the shot record, I saw that he had only had one round, so we will be finishing the series. Considering he is now six months old, and considering the shot schedule, he will be older when all of the shots happen because of the scheduling and the required weeks in between. She has only been bringing him here, and my boys are UTD. She will ot be taking him to public dog places until his shots are done. (our present experience/situation) So, I'm wondering how old he? Has he had all his shots up to now (guessing he has had them from the breeder). What if he comes to you more than four months old? What if his shot series is in progress and it is not time for the new set (rabies)? What does the state do, fine you? And I'm wondering, if you are purchasing the puppy and it is not an own/show situation, why would she be making this request/stipulation? I am really just trying to understand your situation I so understand that you are trying to comply with the breeder's wishes Here's a link to a berner board where a vet is "discussing" this same subject. Didn't go looking for it... it was the second one I clicked. The other link was a discussion between pet owners. http://www.berner.org/pages/medical_treatm..._and_titres.php Anyway, congrats on the pup. I hope you get this all figured out
