Vinnie had a bleed, and it was likely an ulcer. Why he got it, I don't know. They gave him carafate (coats the holes with a protective film/mesh while it heals), zantac which he never processed so we changed to pepcid, reglan and something else. I had to make a chart because some meds had to be taken hours apart from others. The bleed stopped. He never had another bleed. Good luck with your mom's beautful girl. I take levothyroxine as does Red. I drink a lot, but I always have. I don't know that Red drinks any more than Chase. Personally, I have been on different brand name thyroid meds, and I have not noticed a difference. I've been doing this for 33 years. I've also seen a generic become the brand name because they turned in the proper paperwork to the FDA and the brand name didn't. We both just had thryoid tests and are both right in the middle of our ranges. I just wish the vet could sell me mine, too I'm paying just under $17 for 120. Walmart sounds like better deal though.
