  1. If you give the dogs Pepto & they throw up afterwards, dont' be surprised if their tongues turn BLACK!! (Happened to me after a trip to Costa Rica - I went to the emerg. room thinking I had some dread tropical disease!! The docs didn't know what was up but eventually a nurse came in & said "did you take Pepto then throw up?" Ummm y yeah, why? Mystery solved!)

  3. Ooooooh! He's bee-you-tee-ful!!! Hope you don't mind but I looked at all the pix & this one was priceless!! And GTers LOVE a good stink-eye picture!! http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/22036...host=good-times
  4. I think dmswarzfager had a grey with mega-esoph - she had a system set up for feeding that propped the front end uphill! If she doesn't respond to this, maybe PM her?? ALSO - maybe put mega-esophagus in the title - you'll get more responses for it!! Good luck
  5. I remember those quite well!! (Cody was kind of klutzy)
  6. Hi Bob - Welcome to Greytalk!! Exciting stuff, waiting for your grey! I suspect you'll soon fall in love with their unique traits and your grey's personality.. Just a note on the off-leash thing. It seems there are very few greyhounds that will pay attention to a recall if there's something interesting to chase. It's just not worth finding out if the one you adopt is one of those few! Also, at the farm & kennel, they never HAD to recall because they were always turned out in the pen. Find a fenced in area/dog park/local greyhound run where you can run him/her instead!
  7. Hi there! I'm a GW volunteer!! And, Nina, if you haven't had your parents more than 3 months, I'll be doing your 3 month followup call!! Welcome!!

  18. Hi from Maryland & congratulations on Stewie!! A great book that's been recommended to me by several people on GT is The Other End Of The Leash by Patricia McConnell. I finally read it a few weeks ago & it's really enlightening! (Especially if this is your first dog!) Cody was my first dog too & she was a great dog!! We'll expect LOTS of pix of Stewie!!
