Guest grey4life Posted June 24, 2004 Share Posted June 24, 2004 It is with great sorrow and sadness that I post about the loss of my sweet boy, Rocky. He just turned 10 yrs old in April and had several health problems that had gotten increasingly worse. His pain was no longer manageable and his spirit was diminishing; therefore we made the difficult decision to help him to the bridge on Monday afternoon. Rocky touched my heart and soul like no other animal I've ever known and he will forever be in my heart. I miss his smiling face and sweet, soft roo! He was the most affectionate hound I've ever encountered and Rocky's mission in life was to make everyone happy! He never met a stranger and loved everyyone. Everytime I walk into a room I expect to see his happy face... I only wish he could have had more time with us. Rocky came to us in January of 2003 after his owner of 6+ years was incarcerated. He had been left (with his housemate) for 3 weeks and was only checked on every few days. My dear friend, Cathys01, went to get he and his housemate and it was love at first sight for me! I stayed as FAR AWAY from him as I could for the first 3 months and then "I had to take him to the vet." As you can imagine the rest is history! We love you Rocky Roo!!!
