I can't look at a carrot cake in the grocery store without a lump in my throat. The last few years, we celebrated his gotcha day and Chelsa's B-day at the same time, her B-day being Apr. 13. Party hats, and paper plates with a small square of the carrot cake; it didn't take long for the cake to disappear! We'll still do the same, only on Chelsa's actual day instead of a date in between; and no, it won't be the same. We miss you, my handsome lad, yesterday and today and every day thereafter and in between... I will never regret the day you came home and I will always be thankful for the many years you were a faithful friend and companion to me, Tiff, and Gene. We will see you again; I know it.
