I don't know if this will help out but Fiona gets a "chronic limp" every summer (for the last three years). She has been x-rayed and checked as well. One day she suddenly refuses to put any weight on her back right leg and hops around on her 3 legs. It gives me a heart attack every time I see her like this. The treatment that has worked is 3 days of Medacam, lots of rest and only leash walking outside for bathroom duties. She is rested for about a week until we see her gradually walking in a normal way around the house. The vet thinks that as she races around the backyard she overextends her leg or re-sprains it each summer. Although she is almost 8 years old she can be really wild and crazy. Is it possible Cadet has done the same kind of injury? Lots of good thoughts for your beautiful pup from our house. Please keep us posted on how he is doing.
