Guest GunnyGirl
I noticed a lump on Gunny's belly probably about 2-3 weeks ago-definitely not longer. It didn't phase me much as it didn't appear to be painful and actually, I though it was just her belly after eating or maybe I should cut back on the cookies (it also looked and felt like it was centered). She let me feel it and being the major drama queen, she didn't react, so I'm assuming it didn't hurt. I also thought maybe it could be a fatty tumor. Well, it's growing...not in width but out. In my experience, her belly shouldn't be doing that and a fatty tumor doesn't grow that fast. And it is not centered, as it is more visible from her right side than her left. She still doesn't appear to be uncomfortable or in pain, is eating and pooping fine, everything seems fine, but of course I'm concerned. I'm taking her to the vet, but wanted to know if anyone had an idea of what it "might or could" be. It's not bald, doesn't look like its red, etc. I'm thinking abscess but shouldn't that be painful? Also, what else would noticeably grow/change that quickly??? A hernia??? If I have a chance tonight, I'll post a pic.

Batmom
Fingers crossed that it's really just a lipoma. They don't often grow fast, but occasionally they do. Guest GunnyGirl
Thank you all for your concern and thoughts. I am taking her in on Sunday as she is not in any pain, discomfort and is seemingly normal. I know the biggest drama queens (and kings) can be the most stoic when there is something wrong, but really, she is her TOTAL normal self. But even my DBF has finally noticed the appearance of the lump, so it isn't my imagination that it is growing rather quickly.

macoduck
Gracie had a seroma appear on her belly that the vet drained. It was almost as big as a plum and had come up quickly. No pain. We think it was from a bruise/blow to an area further up her ribcage and the fluid puddled there. Hope Gunny's bump is an easy fix.
