From the start you were all energy, walks were runs for you, yipping happily as you jumped from a lying position to full throttle, digging your claws into the wood floors as you made the corner for the front door. We should have tried to calm you down some but then it just seemed that was your spirit. You ran free on our 115 acres, blasting through the underbrush in search of rabbits though never catching one. We would always hear you from afar when you caught the scent, you would bark happily letting us know how much you loved the outdoors. Your passing started something that has changed our lives forever. Cancer took you quickly and was the second blow that year after losing Dad and it was too much. We decided then on that we would as a family be together. No more weekly commutes and short weekends and now are on the road together. You have never met your brothers who would make a run all that more exciting and would really show you what a burst of speed is. You are always with us Chester, you left us like you lived life, racing to the bridge. Chester, aka Mr. Chesterfield, Big Guy, Puppy.
