giadog Posted June 1, 2009 Share Posted June 1, 2009 I found a lump on her neck...It's right above where the neck and shoulder meet. It's about the size of a walnut, pretty firm and immobile, and it doesn't seem to bother her to prod at it. I have a vet appointment on Wednesday to get it checked out. giadog Posted June 4, 2009 Author Share Posted June 4, 2009 Well, we had our vet visit last night, and I can't say that things went particularly well...The vet said just by looking at/feeling the lump, she could tell it was nasty and invasive enough that she didn't want to waste time/money aspirating it. She said it needed to come out. She also found a black lump on Gia's bum that looked suspicious. I hadn't noticed that one. So she'll be calling today to set up an appointment to get Gia put under and everything removed for biopsy. I'm trying not to overreact, but I hate being in limbo and not knowing anything. I've been checking the lump every day, and I don't THINK it's growing, but it's hard to tell. Gia was a bit more growly with everyone than usual this weekend (she's always a LITTLE space aggressive, but seemed moreso than usual) so I'm worried she's in pain.... ETA: Hi Lesley!!!
