The meds seemd to help, and she was my usual bossy little girl, but last night, we came home from work and Hannah did not come to greet us. She was lying on a dog bed ( usually much too common for her) and when she did rise, she screamed with every step. While I was on the phone with the vet, the screaming stopped, but now she's almost dragging both hind legs. We were back to the vet where an investigation pointed to her back again - a pinched nerve or slipped disc. X rays at 2 this afternoon and she's back on anti-inflamatories and painkillers. Poor little goober can't catch a break. I took the day off to be with her. Any spare good thoughts for my pile of badness would be gratefully accepted. Little brindle shadows are precious things. Hannah is limping and I have a horrible, nausea inducing feeling in the pit of my stomach. The bad little thing that came in from the yard once with 8 square inches of her leg completely skinned and never noticed is moving stiffly and cannot get comfortable. The vet can see her Friday, but did prescribe an anti inflamatory and mild painkiller to make her more comfortable. It just can't be osteo. My 3 time bounce girlie who lost her vision and her brother within 6 weeks cannot be really ill - can she? Any good wishes and happy thoughts you have floating around gratefully accepted - I know I've offered to sell her to the gypsies at least once a week for the past 4 years, but I really can't bear the thought that my little brindle shadow might have to leave.
