Guest Ruby2sday
Hi all ~ Thanks so much for your prayers and good wishes. We visited Ruby last evening, and she seems to be improving a bit. We can't rule out stroke completely, but it's more likely to be a disk in Ruby's neck that is causing the weakness on her right side and hind legs. When I crawled into her crate and started stroking her tummy, she actually cracked what appeared to be a smile! (I choose to believe that she was smiling rather than having her lip stuck to her tooth.) She's been turning over, which she couldn't do on Tuesday, and "roaming" a bit in her crate. Plus, she and Alan (in the crate next to hers) have been "flirting" with each other! He's a 3-yr old brindle boy and just adorable. All of this is very encouraging - especially the flirting! We're hoping to bring RubyRoo home tonight. May have to foster Alan if she's too heartbroken leaving him behind! Thank you all again ~ Yvonne
