I liked a brindle girl but DH was smitten with a white and red brindle boy. 'Morgan' came home with us and introduced us to the world of greyhounds. We were so green about greyhounds and he patiently taught us one lesson after another. He was a first class roacher and goofball and had chronic ETS. He loved meeting people. When he was 10.5, his front leg broke coming down the stairs and we learned about osteosarcoma. We were told that amputation and chemo would probably buy him 12-14 months. Life on 3 legs wasn't too different than 4. He still thought "the rules" didn't apply to him. He insisted on being ahead of the other dogs during walks. I remember one time he took off on me. I was chasing him through the woods thinking "how hard can it be to catch a 3-legged dog?". It was like chasing a dog on a pogo stick. Morgan was one of the lucky ones and survived 3 years after his osteo. diagnosis and had no sign of cancer in the end. Morgan was a really sweet and lovely dog - your photos show how, in spite of his illness, he always remained a happy, lovable boy and moved through life with grace and dignity.
