Guest greyscot Posted July 15, 2008 Share Posted July 15, 2008 I posted last week that I was losing Shirley. She had not eaten all weekend so I took her to the vet again yesterday. The vet felt she had some pain about her jaw which can happen with kidney disease which she has had for over a year and this could be why she was not eating. He also agreed with me that her kidneys may have gone into 'melt down'. She is at the vets on a drip and still refusing food. I have to 'phone in the morning but I am sure this is the final stage of her kidney disease. Please keep her in your thoughts. She's my baby. Sporty is pacing the floor - he is missing her so much. My friends 14 year old dog has had years of liver problems and last Thursday had to go to the vet in a similar situation, was on IVs, vet couldn't get her to eat either, bloody, watery diarrhea, .
