Argos Update

Recommended Posts

Well Argos had an appointment to have his stitches taken out today, but I got impatient and took them out myself last night. His ear looks great! Only thing...it won't stand up like it used to. We're a little bummed. My husband keeps saying "what if it never stands up again?" :P But he's still so cute that we'll get used to it. Thanks to everyone for your kind notes and good thoughts during his "ordeal."

Oh, and his bum leg is all better also, so thanks for the advice about that as well!

Here is the post surgery picture:

And here he is today:

And from the back - you can see the little bumpy holes if you look closely.

His ear looks fabulous!

If it never stands up again, he'll just be a half-and-half. A really handsome half-and-half.

Awww, he looks great! I have a one-ear-up, one-ear-down doggie myself and he is as cute as can be, and so is Argos! He really is a handsome boy.

Thank you! I think he's cute too - just a new phase in his life! Brian (my husband) is so bummed about it, but that's kind of cute too!

Edited to add - you know I'm just looking at my little pic under my name, and it looks like he's always favored that ear anyway. :)

Aw, good boy, Argos.

Christie - will this prevent further hematomas or is he still at risk of getting them?

Argos, you are totally cute with the one ear up and one ear down look! I wouldn't change a thing! So who cares if it doesn't go back up like the other one! Tiger, Bueller and Domino are sending some doggie kisses to a much better Argos!

Yeah, so glad the ear healed well. I love the one up, one down ear look. Neyla's go all wells, but the one up, one half cocked is her favorite position.

It will prevent them in that ear. Now I have to keep my eye on him and if he's shaking his head too much, look into why so we don't have to go through it with the other ear. We've tried antihistamines before, but haven't done more than that.
