Sorry to hear such sad news, but the joy they bring into our lives R still in our hearts knowing that we gave them a good home; they knew it. Take care, if U can, adopt another; just remember the good times U had with your grey. I just wish I could have one, but 91 yr old mom, can't handle one if I've to get a job. I had 2 iggies who were dear to my heart; one was put down 10-1-07; I still cry for her(4-1-08). So I know how U R feeling; we all do. We NEVER Let Go, but we must in order to save another grey rather big grey or little grey(italian Greyhound). God bless, go adopt another, don't foster it, cause U WILL fail Foster 101.
