rycezmom
For a while now Gustopher P Jones has seemed to have an issue with his eyes. Not their usually bright shiny selves, not looking normal. Started with our vet to rule out the usual suspects. The back of my mind is thinking every bad thing plus more as to what it could be. Off to the doggy eye doctor this morning after a quick phone call from my vet to them. The opthamologist says that it is Pannus. Meds prescribed to come from Phoenix. I'm relieved that it is NOT one of the many things that were brewing in my brain. At least we can control it. Any advice from those of you that have dealt with this is appreciated. I can now breath again. L. Scared us to death...her whole eye was red but the eye was protruding "A LOT" Hers was some weird infection that healed right away on drops...2 different kinds of VERY expensive drops. Guest lotsagreys4me
I have a boy with Pannus. He was diagnosed at 2 years old. I use drops in his eyes morning and night. He must stay out of the sun as that will cause the condition to worsen. My understanding is that it can be controlled but as they get older it will get worse. Sometimes the number of drops will change depending if the eye is responding or not. Good luck, I know in the beginning I wasted a lot of drops cause I would miss his eye or he would move his head. Now we are both experts but he still doesn't like it.
