She is free from her cancer now, able to run and chase all the soccer balls she can. Run a fence line with the old neighbor’s toy poodles, to chase chickens and eat french fries out of the McDonald’s bag again. She was ready. A lot more ready that I was. this is one of my favorite pictures of her: Because she really had just seen a bunny that bounced out of the undercover after all the other dogs had passed. She outlasted the cancer. Four seperate surgeries, two different locations. Fourteen years, 3 months, 25 days. I'm gonna miss her so much. Love you Sprite, godspeed, run and play with Murphy, Kim and Shine. Tell them that I still love them too. The stay isn't ever long enough and the road to healing may seem longer.
