patricia Posted January 8, 2008 Share Posted January 8, 2008 (edited) Our little man has a hard fixed lump on his shoulder that needs to come off now. His surgery is at 9:00am. Needle biopsy results are inconclusive for mast cell tumor. Due to Cody's many health problems...the most serious being his lung condition...we have decided that we will not send this mass to pathology. Cody Angelo is NOT a candidate for chemo therapy and if it is cancer...we don't want to know. We really do NOT want to know. Dr. Beth said she will of course take anything that looks funky and if it is something bad...hopefully it won't come back. Dr. Beth supports our decision. With all of his health issues...our little man is so playful and happy and he acts as though he is a puppy...he hasn't a clue that he has any problems...and in my eyes...we can't ask for any more! Due to his lungs Dr. Beth tried to do the surgery with sedation and local anesthesia but this mass went very deep and he had to have some gas to remove it. He is starting to wake up and if he is awake enough and doing well he can come home at closing tonight at 10:00pm. If not it will be tomorrow morning. We just want our little man back home.
