Guest Ola Posted July 14, 2007 Share Posted July 14, 2007 My 75 lb grey gets 4 capsules per day and my 40 lb mixed breed gets 2 capsules per day. Each capsule is 1000 mg. They used to get half that much, but I increased it when they were having some dry skin issues in the winter (dry heating) and kept it that way. The general recommendation is 1 capsule per 30 lbs of body weight, up to 1 capsule per 10 lbs of weight for treatment of health problems (arthritis, allergies, skin problems, etc). Zema has never gotten any -- too much oil in her diet and she gets blackheads and pimples on her tummy. Batman didn't get it -- he had a bit of dry skin but was allergic to fish oil. Rocco the whippet has never needed any extra, nice skin and coat all his life.
