  1. Have the Burts Bees drops. Putting two droppers in with each water change - two three times a day - no change in dog breath. I tried putting in a dropper of them in my one males mouth - no change.
  2. Old Hoover Steam cleaner and 2 Dyson's here! Love the Dyson!
  3. Sorry it was The Christmas Tree Shoppe where I say the hammock
  4. I was at Tuesday Morning today and they had the hammocks for $7.00. I don't use them, so I don't know how good this one is, but could be a trial one to see if you like it.
  5. Simple Solution. I got it at Petsmart. It is wonderful!
  6. I use the Curad Liquid Bandage on my pups. I use the spray. It's easier.
  7. Also, are you using the actual weight from the races? Or the weight that they put under her picture? In my boys 10 races his weight ranged from 77lbs - 80lbs.
  8. Beth, I'm so sorry. Our thoughts are with you. If you need anything, you know how to reach me. Nichole, Kiaba, Tehya, Cian and our houseguests - Axel and Abbey
  9. Yep - Skin-so-Soft here! They have one specifically for bug repellent now and it has sunscreen. We have been using it for years.
  10. My girl did the same. There was no way to stitch it back, so the vet stitched it to the side - if that makes sense. Now she has no webbing.
  11. An update on Tehya - the steriod injection along with the muscle relaxers made a world of difference. She will stay on the oral steriods and muscle relaxers for a period of time.
  12. Also. I gave Tehya 2 50mg trimadol 3 hours apart ( 1 ea. time) because she was in so much pain and they didn't help one bit.
  13. Funny you should ask - I just got back from the vet with Tehya. She was holding her tail completely under her, back end kind of hunched under, head hanging down, kind of in a daze, and doing the GSD every 45 minutes last nite. She ate fine, drank fine, no problem doing her business. She started acting strange yesterday and cried a few times, thought maybe she was just laying wrong. I got an appointment first thing this morning, expecting full x-rays. My vet right away noticed she wouldn't turn to her left. Seems as if the pain is in her neck. She tested her for Lyme - negative - and decided to try a steriod injection and muscle relaxers. If this doesn't work we will do x-rays. She also mentioned a compressed disc, but we will see. We have been home two hours and I only heard a small whine out of her so far. So, keeping my fingers crossed. I don't know if this will be of any help, but sounds like somethng similiar. Nichole forgot to add - she was also wobbly on her feet and didn't walk in a straight line
  14. Another thing to try is the foam tube stuff that plumbers put around pipes. It is light weight and very padded. I use vet wrap, but make sure it is wrapped up as far as you can on the tail.
  15. I was just talking to the man a the health food store and he said that most of the arthritis meds came from vets. He said vets were using glucosamine 50 years ago. I am using a supplement from the health food store for Kiaba's limp. He's on it been on it for a few days, so I don't know if it will work, but we are sharing the bottle! He was on Rimadyl with no results. Nichole
  16. I have the large booties in purple also. I love those things! We could not use the Thera-paws because her foot was bandaged and wrapped. After the bandage came off we still used the Pawz bootie and then the Thera-paw for walks - Thera - paws are not waterproof.
  17. Are all of the ingredients safe - for dogs? I would like to try this also for me and my one pup!
  18. My girl Tehya split her webbing a few months ago too. The vet said there was not enough skin to sew it back together, so they sewed it to the sides of her toes - if that makes sense. She no longer has webbing between those toes. Maybe this is why Spencer's webbing keeps tearing. Anyway, our life saver was Pawz Dog boots. www.pawzdogboots.com. Nichole
  19. You can find a list of toxic plants here. http://www.angel-litemaltese.com/Poison.htm
  20. Kiaba was on Azathioprine for a mouth issue. He lost so much hair that he was going bald all over! The med wasn't making a diference, so I stopped giving it to him. Within a week or so, all of his hair had come back.
  21. Kiaba and Tehya's total was $1400.00. Kiaba had ten extractions. This included all bloodwork, antibiotics for both and two pain meds for Kiaba. Also got the Oravet applied and a 8 week supply.
  22. My two are having their dentals done now. The vet talked to me about sealants. They put it on today and then every few weeks I do it. Can't remember all of the details - nervous since both of them are having dentals. I can't even remember the name of the stuff! Any experience?
  23. Will let you know - my two are there right now. I know Kiaba will have some extractions.
