  1. I agree on the spay as long as her blood work is all good and the vet feels she is healthy. I would want to be sure a teeth cleaning was done at the same time.
  2. I have had one greyhound girly, Maggie who took Proin. The dosage was reduced gradually but she was always on a small daily dose. It did not cause her problems. I would make sure to have their urine tested and cultured to make sure there are not any other problems.
  3. Having just made "that" decision a few days ago myself it is still really, really raw. However my girl had osteo. Maybe you have already covered this but I didn't see it... How about if you just lay some yummy tidbits on her bed, no bowl, no stand, just on the bed itself, and then go about your business. It may be that after a while the temptation would get to her. At this point I would just give her whatever is yummy, I wouldn't worry about dog food. Stuff like shredding roast beef, boiled ground round strained, baked chicken shredded (no skin or fat), mac & cheese, vanilla yogurt & Rice Krispies, you could try a combo of mashed potato with the meat, hot dogs, Gerber baby food sausages. Sorry, I know there are more but they just aren't coming in my head. For dog food EVO95 cans have an average of 500 calories per 13 oz can, so pretty calorie dense. No one can help you with this decision, nor should they. I know how hard this is.
  4. Are you able to take Logan back to the vet who diagnosed the cancer?
  5. Try giving Zantac 150 about 30 minutes before meals.
  6. I would be concerned there might be a mass.
  7. My Bridge angel Molly had a tumor removed from her leg and there was no skin to cover the wound. The vet had me use Facilitator on the wound daily to help the wound heal. You could see the improvement daily. link to Facilitator Sending prayers for Cruz.
  8. I am so sorry. Godspeed sweet Twinkle.

What a beautiful girl. I am so sorry.
  10. I picked my Renie up yesterday. I am so very sorry I couldn't make it all go away little one. The morning Renie went to the Bridge the vet techs and the office staff all came out to the car one or two at a time to tell her goodbye and to love on her one more time. Renie was a favorite there, plus they saw her so often. Some of them asked if there was anything they could do or if I needed anything. They were crying too. The only thing I could think to say was that I just needed for my greyhounds to quit being attacked by cancer. I don't understand why this monster keeps taking these precious souls. I have two greyhounds left out of seven. All five have had cancer in one form or another, two of them osteo. I am terrified for the two I have left. Casey Charlie Maggie Molly Renie
