Thank you for the kind words. Our vet clinic called today, they have Renie back. I'll go tomorrow.

My Teddy has had 2 sudden bouts of pancreatitis and come out of both just fine. Sending prayers that Warlock does as well.

If you can manage it, OSU would be a good place to take Warlock. There is lots of info online about Cushings, but obviously you first need an educated diagnosis, that's where OSU would come in. Just doing a Google search on "Cushings disease in greyhounds" a lot of sites come up. link

I would keep him in the bedroom. IMHO that temperature is way too high. My three stay in our bedroom when we are gone and they are perfectly happy. Not knowing the setup of the living room/kitchen, the only other suggestion would be to get another room AC, you can get one that doesn't need to sit in a window frame.

Stephanie, how is Jazz doing? It does not seem like 8 years since they were tiny babies.

Interesting, I've not seen this before. I have an IBD dog on four meds and I pick up poop and wash off every time anyway, so the only thing additional would be the bleach.

My Renie takes 25mg of Anitriptyline twice a day for anxiety, she has done well with it. Anitriptyline is Elavil, prescribed to people for depression, anxiety, and/or chronic pain. In dogs it is usually prescribed for anxiety.

You get through it because you do what is best for the dog that you love and have promised to good care of. I have had to make that decision for 4 greyhounds and I wish I had made it 1 day sooner then I did. I have promised the 3 greyhounds that remain that I will, if at all possible, not wait that 1 more day.
