  1. Pam and Scooter, I just want you to jknow that you are both in my thoughts and prayers today - Scooter, welcome to the Bridge and to your young, healthy body. Pam, may all the wonderful memories of Scooter give you the strength to get through this.
  2. Oh Scott!! Thank you for sharing - Bean was so lucky to share her life with you and to have you there when she crossed the bridge. Your picture journal shows how much you loved her and she you. Just know that many of us on this board share in your sorrow. Viviane
  3. What about the ivermec that is used for livestock? What doseage there? Also, where does one get liquid ivermec for dogs?
  4. My old girl, Pearl, will be 12 next month - she does as you've described if she's over exerted herself, such as being turned loose in the pasture - she runs like a pup, then her poor hind legs shake.
  5. Gorgeous photos that show just a small part of the wonderful memories that Sprite and you share!! I am so sorry for your loss - Sprite is well and happy, but her ears will always be turned waiting for your familiar footsteps!
  6. I am so sorry for your loss! But, what a beautiful way to cross the bridge!!
  7. I add my sorrow to yours - it is never easy to see our sweet fur babies suffer. Then, that final decision is so hard to make - when we lost our first Grey, my DH was in tears too at the vet's office - you and Tara Sue are in my thoughts and prayers.
  8. When I take pred, I can't sleep and get the shakes , so it sure could be that.
  9. So sorry the hear about this. I know thaqt when one of my Greys was attacked by another one, they let her come home even with the drains in. I hope that Beau heals quickly. I returned the attacker when she attacked another foster and we had to put her down - she was a senior and badly injured
  10. Welcome neighbour! Your dogs are gorgeous!!
  11. First, I am so sorry that you are faced with this decision. We have had to let quite a few dogs and cats cross the bridge over the years and have always opted to have the vet come to our home if possible - I truly believe it is much less stressful for all concerned. I love your idea of having her favourite people over!
  12. I am so sorry for your loss. My heart Grey Pepsi, was an epileptic and we had to let her cross the bridge when she too went into nonstop seizures. It was horrible, but IV Valium did stop them - however, with no guarantees that she would come out of it, I couldn't stand to see her in such a state. The evet let us be present the whole time they assessed her. My heart goes out to you and your family!
  13. You're very welcome!! I even ordered a couple of those blankets for my grandsons!! LOVE Melody's photo!!
  14. You are so welcome - glad the crew is enjoying the monkey - Merry Christmas to you all!!
  15. and Pearl wants to thank you! "What a wonderful collar to wear on the big day and lots of goodies for Mom and the other canine girls!!" Thanks !!!!
  16. Dear Auntie Winnie Thank you so much for my Secret Santa gifts - you said I could open it early, so Mom did that for me. BUT, our camera is not working so no photos! I LUV the snake - it is so much softer than the real ones I sometimes find in the back yard! Mr. Snake is on the fireplace mantel right now, because my 2 JRTcousins want to gut and skin him right now. Mom, Pearl and I will play with him when the brats are outside. Mom is going to put a photo of me and Pearl (my much older "sister"!) in the Greyt frame you sent. Mom says we have to wait until the big day before we can have the cookies - darn!!! I loved the Christmas photo of you and your family - you all look so nice and happy. Your horsie is sure pretty - our two are just red sorrels - it's so nice to see lots of color!! Have a very Marry Christmas and a Greyt New Year. Luv, Foley
  17. So glad that you have joined our family! I will be starting to go to Plano on a weekly basis soon, to my show horse barn. Perhaps we can get together some time.
  18. Our Greys have lived with up to 5 indoor cats and 2 Jack Russells, but no children. As previo usly stated, so spend time at meet and greets and with the dogs from groups. Does sound like the Grey that comes to your family will have a Greyt home!!
  19. My 11 year old girl Pearl gets it. When I bath her, I use a wet cloth and it just comes off with a bit of scrubbing.
