I am so sorry for your loss

My 3 girls have not read the part of the Greyhound manual that says this breed does not bark much!! They bark to go out, to come in, when they see anything move and just for the heck of it. I really blame my former spook Foley ! She was the verbal one and has taught the other 2. My JRT is quieter than these girls!

I am located just SW of Fort Worth, in Cleburne, and will gladly take people and their fur kids in - we have 2 Greys, a JRT and 3 cats - also have room for horses. I would be willing to meet someone and lead them in to my place. DH left downtown Houston @ 4:30 am - his alternator crapped out and he lost 2 hours - he left 45 because it is not moving at all and is going cross country to Tomball and then will try to get home from there. Service stations do have gas, but there are long line ups. Viviane

Thank goodness that Zelda was able to spend the past year with you! Evidently she felt very secure and loved, as shown by how she came out of herself! Run with the wind Zelda!

I know it's not very big, but that is Pepsi with her JRT buddy in my avatar. The photo was taken in Feb. 2002.

Today marks the one year anniversary of Pepsi's crossing the Bridge. Not a day goes by that I don't think of you Pepsi-Wepsi. One year ago, your seizures became so uncontrollable that your last day with me is filled with awful images of you. Yet, in the few quiet moments, you responded to my voice even though you could no longer see. How I wept (and am weeping now) as they laid your head in my lap as you were released from the horrors you were going through. I see you crossing the Bridge and looking back, letting me know that I did the right thing and you are now healthy and happy as you run with all the others that have gone ahead of you and those that have since joined you. How I miss you - 7 years just wasn't long enough and I regret each day that I took you for granted - if only I could have 1 minute more with you!! My heart is breaking all over again. I love and miss you so!!

I can sure empathize - I found Pepsi's collar in a drawer and wept, feeling my heart breaking all over again - it even has some of her hair still in it. The collar is now draped over a framed photo of her. Run free Pepsi Wepsi!!
