  1. Continuing prayers for all of you. Keep fighting Jester.
  2. Given her age and the tumor size I doubt there are any treaments other than pain management. I would still contact Dr Couto for his opinion on pain med protocol. He or someone on staff will anser your concerns and give you any other info you need. greyosu@osu.edu I'm praying for a time when cancer is no longer a reality.
  3. hang in there Joyce, you have our prayers.
  4. Wendie and Kevin I'm so sorry. Godspeed Dillon I bet there's lots of water for you to stand and splash in at the bridge
  5. Nancy she is looking great. Much better than last time. for you all. Keep healing Sprite. We love you.
  6. Nellie Suzie I couldn't post earlier when I read this, couldn't see for some reason. I hope Katie Bug is feeling better. I think Miss Nellie was telling you that she'll take care of Katie wherever she is.
  7. Sophie is beautiful. It's so hard to see them in pain. That is something the amputation does for them, relieve the pain almost instatntly. Sending hugs and prayers to you and Sophie.
  8. Jake had swelling in his chest and shoulder area last fall. I didn't notice the swelling until the massage therapist pointed it out to me. We have no idea to this day what he did, but it started with limping. The vet couldn't find anything but was pretty sure it was soft tissue as you could manipulate his entire front leg without sign of pain. Then a few days later he was much worse and wouldn't put any weight on it. I took him to a canine massage therapist and she showed me the swelling an heat. On her suggestion we gave him traumeel a holistic ant inflamitory. Plus heat for 5 min, alternated with icing. Without an x-ray there is no way to be sure it's a broken bone or....well anything else. I'd treat the symptoms the same way you would yourself. Rest, Ice, Compress and Elevate. Praying it's just a pulled ligament or sprain.
  9. I'm so sorry. There is nothing like the feeling after hearing that news. Depending on the type of OS, and whether it has spread there are options. As Winnie's mom said there are stories here Hope for Hounds to give you hope. Take things one step at a time, contact Dr Couto, gather your information, make an informed decision. That's all Snickers can ask of you, well that and your love but she already has that.
  10. I'm so sorry. You have been given some excellent advice and you have had a consult with the best. I'm glad Queen Winnie's mom posted. That old girl is such an inspiration for all of us. (Queen Winnie that is although her mom is pretty terrific too ) One of my personal inpirations is Riley Roo a fabulous boy that had osteo at the same time Foxy had her tumor removed. He had an amp and chemo and almost made if to the 2nd anniversary of his amp. He went to the bridge last summer although in the end he did beat the cancer, it was something else that took him. Take a look at this, miracles do happen. link
