  1. I'm so sorry to hear this! Have you consulted with Dr. Couto at OSU? When Daisy was very ill, I contacted him and sent him all her records, biopsies etc., and he responded right away. He's a very loving, caring Dr. and knows a lot about greyhounds. Just a thought. I will pray for her.....
  2. Sending prayers and white lights for Miss Mazie!!!
  3. I just noticed in one of my wholesale vet catalogs that they sell Frontline Spray. Has anyone used it and is it as effective as the drops? Thanks for any advise anyone can give...
  4. Love chiropractors for our animals. Ours is also a DVM. She has done wonders for Dylan. Good luck. I think it's a wonderful thing..
  5. Dylan has infected anal glands and the vet injected panalog ointment into each of the anal glands. I asked about oral antibiotics but he said no. Does anyone know if the panalog is the best route to go? Man did they stink...
  6. Prayers and white lights for Miss Mazie....
  7. I'm sorry about the diagnosis, but thrilled to here she is in perfect health otherwise. She will adjust quickly and she will know how loved she is!!!
  8. With homeopathy, water and food can interfere with the remedy. Crushing the pills and giving it that way is the easiest. I've tried the water bit and found crushing is easier for me to administer. Good luck...Prayers for Alan!
  9. Zeel is a great multiple remedy. We use it on Daisy and Dylan if they run to hard and become lame in one leg. You have to use is consistantly. I crush the tablet and give 3 times a day. No food or water for at least 1/2 hour before or after giving remedy. a lot of people don't believe in homeopathy, but it has worked on the dogs and on ME! I use conventional medication when needed but always try holistic when I can. Hope it works for Alan....
  10. They can also inject Panalog cream right into the anal glands. Dylans got so infected because I waited to have them expressed and they injected the cream and that cleared it all up. Good luck...
  11. I would certainly have him checked for a tooth absess. Our Dalmatian had that once and all that swelled was his face. Maybe check with a different vet? Good luck and prayers your way...
  12. Just wondering how Riley's xrays went this morning? Hope he is doing better....
  13. I too would not vaccinate. The vet can write a letter to your county to excuse the dog from all shots including rabies. We had this done for our Dalmatian who had seizure disorder. It was never a problem.
  14. I would definetley wrap the foot. Daisy has dislocated her toe and the vet wrapped it so the ligaments, tendons could heal properly. Good luck..
  15. We had Dylan's tail partially amputated in November and it was the best choice we've ever made. Of course we were so scared to go ahead with it, but it turned out totally fine. He had about 8 inches taken off. I know exactly how you feel...Just make sure they take enough and to also leave extra skin to make a nice flap. You don't want the incision to be too tight. I hope that makes sense. Good luck with your decision, I know it's a tough one!
  16. Sending prayers and positive thoughts your way!!!
  17. Hope Beau is continuing to feel better!!! Hugs to all...
