  3. If I remember right, NancyB did that with Marvin, then decided on amputation. The radiation will get them out of pain. Trying to remember.....I think they have to be sedated for radiation. It's one of the reasons most do not do it (and the cost).
  4. As long as the BUN is normal, I don't worry about it. Many of mine run 2.2 to 2.3. Glad she is better

Sending my sympathy. What a sweet old girl
  8. Check her feet as Batmom said. If nothing shows on xray, I'd go to an alternative vet.
  9. 1 twice a day. On the big boys I've gone to 1 1/2 twice a day.
  10. Tavist1 (not D) You can buy it in generic. I think it is cleminstine furamate. I'll go check. I get it by the 100 at Allivet
  11. This answers one of the questions I posted
  12. I posted on the board: I don't see in the profile where to hide fast reply or choose not to save a copy of message sent.
  13. I have not had a good feeling for months and now I know why She fought SO darn hard! Godspeed Lauri
  14. I've had a few with pannus. Usually you start out twice a day and eventually go to once a day if the improvement warrants it. No, there is not a pill for it. Try giving a very yummy treat afterwards, or even one before and one after. I have been fortunate in that all the ones I've had were ok with the drops.
  15. Update in thread in EEG with pictures
  16. Very good Is your vet familar with pannus?
  17. Didn't talk with the vet but the tech and she said Princess can go home at 3 and she had extractions. No idea yet how many were pulled. I will feel better when I see her and talk to the vet! Thank you all.
  18. Have you consulted with Ohio State? Try giving them a call regarding post op care.
  19. Is she on gabapentin? When researching phantom pain months ago, I learned that phantom pain is not imagined pain, but real nerve pain. It hurts! Do you have the stairs gated? Sending prayers.
  20. I just dropped her off. She can use everything you can: prayers, white light, good thoughts, positive energy so she can make it through this. Mizzy lent her finery: Where are we? Uh-oh! This one has me very worried.
  21. Get to a specialist, asap. If it's been awhile, the hardware can be removed.
