  3. Have Dr. Couto read the xrays.
  4. This is in the Grey Adoption pkg by Bill Feeman DVM: Most vets I use, use propofol. I would ask what other meds they used.
  5. Next day is good. There is no way he should be loopy. He should be bright eyed and bushy tailed when you pick him up.
  6. I don't use rice or anything else except meat. I boil the ground meat (I buy 80/20 -- nothing more in fat) and rinse after boiling. Since this is a short term diet, I wouldn't worry about quantity. He should eat a couple of cups at a time. If you want to add something, potatoes or pasta works better.

  8. Just because they do ok on the clotting panel, doesn't mean they are not a bleeder. Has she had a TBD panel done? What are her platelets, RBC & HCT?
  9. Glad things are getting better! I NEVER do shots together and will also break up the lepto from the DHLP if I give it. Also, never do shots with anesthesia. Yes, a lot of adoption groups do it for convenience, but it only takes once....
  10. It would be helpful if you posted the blood test results. Have you tried EVO? Have you tried stomach meds? How much flagyl is he on?
  11. As I said in the other thread, email me. I am interested in who you are using for a vet.
  12. Cipro will help the UTI but not the mouth. Which anesthetic did they use? You can email me at Burpdog@msn.com I am interested in who you are using.
  13. BUN & creatine are fine. I assume the kibble has no rice?

  15. No NSAID is suppose to be given without blood work. If the vet cannot find anything in exam or xray, do a TBD panel.
  16. Try acupuncture and chiropractic. You have several in the Cleveland area that are certified.
  17. How young Sending my sympathy and prayers for healing.
  18. If they use the meat, they shouldn't poop much and it should be a good brown color and not much of it.
  19. Interesting. Never saw this in adult Dobes or Danes, only puppies.
  20. I haven't read all the replies. Greyhounds are hounds. Explains a lot. Do not expect them to act or react like a working or herding breed. Do not expect to handle them the same way either. Took me many years to learn Like other breeds, individual greys learn at different speeds and with different methods. Huston sits, speaks, shakes, does a down and sometimes a recall. Grace: haven't even started yet. If she had been my first grey she may have been my last I could say more, but you get the idea. The one thing you will get from greys that I have not seen in other breeds (Dobes come close) is that for your friendship, they will share their soul with you. What more could a person ask?
