I'd do a thyroid panel first. Get another dog second Calm Spirit is a chinese herbal combination and very good. Doesn't drug them, just takes the edge off. -

Rather than 1/2 can of EVO put in a few tablespoons and heat it for 15 seconds. I'd do Protatek and do the whole panel. It's around $62 US for the panel which includes VF

You can overnight to Protatek in Arizona. If he is miserable I'd do that and start him on doxy at the appropriate dose (5mg per # of body weight twice a day). Some just start the doxy and see if there is improvement, however, doxy will not cure babesia. Sending prayers.
