    Sending my sympathy
  2. I'd email Ohio State for advice/opinion! Sending prayers.
  3. No How is his stomach? You could try giving him a pepcid and see if that takes care of the stinkies. Then you would know
  4. Several vets here use the pulse therapy -- antirobe first 5 days of the month, every month. Sounds like he might benefit from that. Are you sure the rank breath is from his teeth? It can come from the stomach.
  5. Glad you found the cause! The tick list has a lot of good info and lyme.
  6. To start I'd suggest 5 days of panacur. See if that helps. Many times worms are there but don't show up in a fecal. Sending prayers.
  7. I've had them do the head shaking thing from sinus. Both a Dobe and a grey. Shadow even ate one time with his head bobbing! Have you done a thyroid panel on him? TBD panel?
  8. Take the nail back a little at a time Why the lyme?
  9. Nasty worms! Hook & whip are why I use Interceptor. I bet her bowel clears up once they are gone.
  10. Hope they recover quick! Glad it went well
  11. I've been thinking about him. Pancreatitis should show up in blood work. Sending prayers!
  12. Could be. It's only been 2 weeks and his activity level is quite high! Sounding very good!
  13. What a beautiful guy Sending my sympathy.
  14. Guess what I found on Mizzy last night? A flea! I have been battling ticks, but not fleas <sigh>
  15. Sounds like something is bothering his stomach. Some dogs, when their stomach hurts, either look for food or/and drink excessive amounts of water (others don't eat at all) Since this is new behavior, I'd ask the vet. Has she changed food or has the food company changed the formula? New treats?
  16. Pepto is not quite the same and if I remember right has aspirin? I have it in the house for emergency bloat and don't use it for anything day to day. Tagamet or zantac will work also.
  17. Give him some bread at bedtime and a pepcid every day as soon as his eyes open in the morning for several days and see how it goes.
  18. Mizzy has a horrid flea allergy--one would drive her crazy! Hopefully that is it Short grass helps keep the bugs down
  19. Join the club. Mizzy is having fun. I have found kibble does directly affect her itching. Got it to the point where she was not scratching too bad then tried EVO reduced fat--horrible quick. I've been giving her benedryl twice a day and there was a 3-4 day period where she got pred to break the cycle. And, back to SG Mmellenia for her!
  20. Tough call Young side of 13 with good health prior, maybe. Until they get in there, I doubt they really know what is going on. There are many 13 yr olds that survive surgery. Sending prayers.
