  1. Sending prayers. None of my old or sick "kids" would eat baby food Rostissere chicken is a bit hit.
  2. Any dog on any of the NSAIDs should have blood work done regulary to check kidneys, liver and platelets. What is the foot pain from?
  3. Could be the vet was not familar with greyhound hearts. SieSie had one that came and went. It'll be interesting to see what the group's vet has to say.
  4. Email Ohio State and ask for their opinion. Has he had a TBD panel done?
  5. I've only had a Dobe with cardio. Sending prayers. Email Ohio State and see if they have any advice
  6. If it doesn't clear in 48 hours, it's time for a trip to the vet.
  7. With SG Holistique Blendz you should add fish oil. Try the SG Mmellenia.
  8. I wouldn't feed him raw at this point (I assume the turkey neck is raw). Try boiled meat or canned.
  9. I give two a day to everyone, including Huston (I didn't like the makeup of his nails).
  10. Sending lots of prayers. He is young and should be ok. Hopefully the clinic is experienced in these kinds of fractures. If not, perhaps he can be seen/transferred to an orthopedic vet.
  11. Missed this. Hmmm.....that is a tough one. How is she doing???? It's in a bad place to put something on. Afraid she would get it in her eyes.
  12. I know what you are talking about and I'd have the vet take a look
  13. Interesting page on thyroid: Thyroid Info Can't find over supplementing long term!
  14. Did you include the pictures? If not, send a follow up.
  15. No TSH? There is a thing known as a "sick thyroid" which means the thyroid (which is the engine for the body) is low because there is something else going on. Email Ohio State and ask their opinion. I think, if he is getting thyroid meds and doesn't need them, that anything could happen. Ohio State is very good about getting back to people.
  16. No exercise one hour before and two hours after (not one hour). Excercise is stress. So, if it's a gorgeous 50 degree day, I would do a slow walk for 10 minutes or so after eating. If it's 90 out, I'd do 2 minutes. If going to the vet, either feed several hours before or wait until getting home and feed once calmed down. No zoomies before or after I feed twice a day also.
  17. I'd email the pictures to Ohio State for an opinion. Has he had a TBD panel done?
  18. Last Name First Name Title Department Work Phone eMail Address Couto Guillermo Professor Veterinary Clinical Sciences (614) 292-3551 couto.1@osu.edu I'd call. It's the weekend and some may be going early
  19. If you (they) are close go there asap. It's worth the trip.
  20. How old is she? How big are the scabs?
