  1. Please have a specialist read the xrays! The advice given above is good Sending prayers!
  2. Wow--a lot of biopsies. Good thing they did them while they were in there! Sending prayers.
  3. She has an appointment with another vet tomorrow morning. I'll let you know.
  4. Because of his age, I'd do the ultrasound and biopsy. Also draw blood for a complete TBD panel. He can live without a spleen Sending prayers!
  5. I'm sorry to hear this Spoil him lots (I know you will)
  6. Recently I bumped up the guidelines from the AAHA. Read them and talk them over with your vet. I do every 3 years or longer. here is the thread: http://forum.greytalk.com/index.php?showtopic=128246
  7. Give her some Fresh Factors Hopefully she will build endurance. I would smile too, at her running and having fun!
  8. Must be true. Thinking of Solomon who could never have pred drops in his eyes (he had pannus and an old age eye condition) but he could have oral pred! Strange.....
  9. I think drops are not the same as giving pred in pill or shot form. Did you ask about cyclosporin drops instead of pred?
  10. Oh good grief Has he been tested for every tick disease known to man?
  11. When I've had a bad foot/leg injury, I've let the vet wrap it. Somehow they just do a better job

  14. What kind of water do you have? You might try distilled and see if that is ok with him I remember one grey (and no, I can't remember which one), didn't want to drink so I had water in a plastic bowl, ceramic bowl and stainless steel bowl. Eventually he started drinking and it had nothing to do with what kind of bowl Burp hated stainless steel and I had to put his water in a plastic bowl. Their smell is so keen sometimes I wonder. I know my guys have been on filtered water (from a PUR mounted on normal fixture) and hate regular city water. They either smell it and walk away or drink very little.
  15. Well, the update is there is no update as I wait for Banfield to try and get Imizol I know there are a few vet techs who work for them, so if you read this please p.m. me. Either they get it today (or tell me it's coming) or I tuck my tail and go to the other vet (who is very good) and get her taken care of. I really like the vet and the techs that work at this location. There are very good. However, she needs treatment--now, not later!
  16. Try boiled hamburger or chicken (no rice, no potatoes) for a day or two and see if she firms up. If she does, you will know it is the food. If you are in the States and can get frozen BilJac you can try it, but--puppies need a little more in nutrition than this straight.
  17. I would not. Can you soak it or ice it down?
  18. Not true. Many dogs eat grass when their stomach is upset. What it is about the grass is a mystery (at least to me). Many dogs do like grass and Pitcairn says to grow them a pot of wheat grass so they can graze. I had more grazing with the Dobes than the greys. Is this the girl just off the farm? In addition to giving her pepcid, tagamet or zantac, I'd give her acidolphillus pills and also use Prozyme in her food. She may not be tranistioning well. Try boiled chicken or hamburger and see if her gut calms down.
  19. I'd call the vet and ask. Sending prayers she is ok!
  20. I don't know about the Royal Canin. The other option is a regular Milk Bone They are hard and require chewing.
  21. Have you tried frozen BilJac? What about (no, I am not a SD fan) SD T/D--it is a very large kibble and he would have to chew it.
